Cleaner

We are currently recruiting a part-time cleaner for our client based in East Kilbride.

This will be to part time hours Monday, Wednesday & Friday to assist with cleaning office space and commual toilets, canteen, locker room & factory.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitise communal canteen areas, including tables, chairs, worktops, sinks, appliances, and floors.
• Clean and disinfect male and female toilet facilities, replenishing consumables such as toilet paper, hand soap, and paper towels.
• Maintain cleanliness of locker rooms, including floors, benches, lockers (externally), and waste bins.
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors throughout offices, communal areas, warehouse walkways, and designated factory areas.
• Empty bins and dispose of waste in accordance with site procedures.
• Clean internal glass, doors, walls, and touchpoints to maintain hygiene standards.
• Dust and wipe down surfaces, fixtures, and fittings.
• Report any maintenance issues, spillages, hazards, or damage to the supervisor promptly.
• Safely use cleaning chemicals and equipment in accordance with COSHH guidelines and company procedures.
• Follow all site health and safety policies, including the use of appropriate PPE.
• Maintain cleaning equipment and ensure cleaning supplies are stored safely.
• Complete cleaning schedules and checklists as required.
• Support additional cleaning tasks during audits, inspections, or production shutdowns where required.

Essential Requirements

• Previous cleaning experience in a commercial, industrial, warehouse, or factory environment.
• Good attention to detail.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Understanding of health and safety procedures.
• Ability to follow cleaning schedules and instructions.
• Physically fit and capable of carrying out manual cleaning duties.
